The Environmental Health Science Program at CSUSB is the choice program for those seeking to become registered environmental health specialists (REHS) in California.

For over 30 years, the program has produced quality graduates serving at
various positions in Southern California. It is one of the three undergraduate
programs in California accredited both by the California Department of Public Health —Environmental Health Specialist Registration Committee and the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council.

Whereas the program meets the academic and service experience including the internship requirement of both accrediting bodies, its graduates are also eligible to become national environmental health officers in the Commissioned Corps of the United States Public Health Service. The program offers ideal opportunities for service learning, networking, and career building.
